Barbara is a documentary photographer in Madison County Kentucky. She is an eighth generation Kentuckian. Her father was raised on a farm in Lincoln co. and mother brought up in the mountains in Perry county. They met at Eastern Kentucky University and made Richmond their home. Barbara attended Eastern herself, graduating at the turn of the century December 1999.
Growing up outside the city limits she saw fields of cows and horses every day of her life. Barns, winding roads, all the classic beauty was life as it was known. By living outside of the state after university in Charleston, South Carolina, she saw her home state with new eyes. Documenting places, people and moments in time with full appreciation of our beautiful bluegrass.
